On behalf of our client, an international company headquartered in Zug, we are seeking a Head of Accounting with strong expertise in IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER. This is a key leadership position overseeing all financial accounting and reporting activities while ensuring compliance with both international and local standards.

The Role:
As Head of Accounting, you will lead the accounting team and be responsible for the integrity and accuracy of financial statements. You will ensure compliance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP, manage audits, and play a key role in improving processes and supporting business strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the accounting team (including GL, AR/AP, reporting)

  • Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes

  • Ensure compliance with IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER standards

  • Manage annual audits and liaise with external auditors and stakeholders

  • Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting processes

  • Provide technical accounting guidance and support to management

  • Collaborate with tax, treasury, and FP&A teams across the group

Your Profile:

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent qualification

  • 8+ years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, including team leadership

  • Solid knowledge of both IFRS and Swiss GAAP FER

  • Experience in a multinational environment or Big 4 advisory is highly desirable

  • Fluency in English; German is a strong plus

  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
